All Work, No Play

Today was a crappy day. And unfortunately I couldn’t actually wear these shoes while working, as I have to stand all day, so I wore flats and felt stumpy until the end of the day.

But I love this dress, and it’s the first time I’ve ever worn it out; bought it over two years ago for five dollars at a thrift store, and have never had the right belt to go with it until now. I love how fifties it feels- higher waist, the detail of the bodice, the gold lace, the softer silhouette. It’s so feminine and pretty. The only thing is, the lace at the neck (which is actually continued on through the shoulder over sheer paneling) is very, very stiff and itchy.

Totally worth it, though.
