I was going to alliterate this title, but I got distracted.

I’m not too fond of the outfit today. But it was raining and I’m sick, so… there. I can have an off day when I want to, right?

The middle charm is an owl. I would have taken a better picture of him, but once again… lazy. πŸ˜‰

Indeed this story is so amazing, it makes me wanna read more and more! πŸ˜€ Anyway, I love so so much this outfit! That’s how you look when it rains and you’re sick?? ok…we all are not so lucky πŸ˜› πŸ˜› I really love it, the skirt looks amazing on you and it has a gorgeous color! I love your necklaces too, especially the owl one, it actually is clear enough to understand that’s an owl πŸ™‚ Really really nice! I enjoy so so much reading your posts!

    • Mara

Isn’t it great? I’m giving in to read the whole thing. πŸ˜€
Haha, yes. That’s…what I do. Dresses and skirts alll the time. This just happens to be a really, really comfortable shirt. And, secret, that’s my pajama shirt. Haha!
Awww, thanks! I’m glad you like them. I love to write them. πŸ˜€

How about to make you feel better I send you a pic of what I look like when I’m not sick… lets see, it’s almost 5pm and I’m in my pj’s still… at least I got the baby dressed… in yesterdays clothes… oh well… (like my use of ellipses?)

I love how you did your hair, but I think you needed a more whimsical outfit to go with it.

Also, I totally forgot to write for last weeks photo! I really was going to! I may still (I keep saying that and never do).

Oh, and I love the current blog make-over with the owl in the header, and with your signed name at the end of each post… and last night I liked the pattern in the background, but today not so much. So that’s my opinion.

    • Mara

I agree. The outfit should be more whimsical. πŸ˜€

Wait… you liked… the same pattern last night but aren’t as hot on it this morning? Or did I use some other pattern you liked better? I can’t remember.

Your hair made me squee! It reminds me a bit of Sarah from Labyrinth in this scene:

Suuuch a fun movie. πŸ˜› It’s so… random and weird and… yush. But anyway, I love the outfit! It looks cozy AND cute!

…and as I comment stalk I see you *have* read the whole story I wrote, or were about to… or something… making the comment I was about to leave on last week’s post irrelevant. πŸ˜›

And I totally understand the half-hesitance. I get that with yours! One half thinks: This is so good, I have to write something now because it inspires me. And the other half is thinking: This is so good, I don’t feel like writing anymore because I’d rather just read this amazingness. πŸ˜€

Once again you tempt me, madame, with your image selection. Time will tell if I resist or cave. (*sigh* Usually it’s cave, isn’t it?)

    • Mara

      I LOVE the Labyrinth… so much…

Hahah! Well, I was about to. And then I got distracted. And I have yet to read the whole thing. It’s sitting open in my browser just waiting for me. πŸ˜€

      *tempt tempt tempt* caaaaave.

      • Bethly

So do I! It’s such a special movie. Filled with… special things. πŸ˜›

Wow, just like this week-old message I’ve been meaning to reply to for DAYS. Hehehehe.

Haha. Oh, Mara. I love you and you make me smile. πŸ™‚

        • Mara

I need to watch it again. Because it’s so special. Actually, I really need to buy it. Or steal it from my brother. πŸ˜€

Haha! I… um… we’ll say nothing of weeks-old messages. *ahem* Or the fact that your story is still open in my browser…

Awwww *blush* πŸ˜€ (by the way, if I ever come to California, I am going to stalk you.)

          • Bethly

I should steal it from my best friend! Except, I’m the one that bought it for her so that might be weird. Or it might be *less* weird! Hmmm…

Eeeexcellent. My lips are sealed. x)

Nice! πŸ˜€ I will accept being stalked by you.

        • Mick Lathrop

“It’s such a special movie. Filled with… special things.”

Yes! Special things like Jennifer Connelly. *sigh* Oh and muppets… they are special and awesome too, just not as much as Jennifer Connelly.

          • Bethly

Hehehe. Yes, well David Bowie in blue eyeshadow and a silvery mullet are kind of special, too. Although regarding the muppets… I always skip that one song where they’re tossing heads around. It scares me too much. πŸ˜›

Jennifer Connelly has a male doppelganger that goes to my church. It’s kind of weird. He’s a he that looks like a he-version of her.

          • Mick Lathrop

Ah yes, the magic of David Bowe is very “special” πŸ˜›

Yeah, that song/section is pretty weird. “Where you going with a head like that?” Hmmm, I wonder if that could be used as the worst pick up line ever…

A male doppelganger of Jennifer Connelly? WEIRD. I’m glad he doesn’t go to my church. I might have told him, “Wait… but… you’re suppose to be a girl!” I can’t even imagine what a male Jennifer Connelly would look like.

          • Bethly

Haha! That’s pretty good. I’m all for lame pick-up lines. Especially if they relate to Labyrinth. πŸ˜›

Portuguese for one. And I think it’s mainly in the eyes and lips. There are just particular expressions she makes when the camera gets her at a certain angle and I go, “Whoa. That was WEIRD. She looked just like Alex.” But then I think Charlotte Lucas from the ’95 Pride and Prejudice looks like a woman version of Faramir, so maybe I’m crazy. πŸ˜›

YAAAY!!!! This has got to be the first time I’ve done this in AGES. But no, literally, what happened was I was in sort of a mopey kind of mood but I was feeling kind of poetic. I wanted to write a poem, but I wasn’t sure what about. Then I realized, “HEY! I KNOW WHERE I CAN GO FOR INSPIRATION!” (It was just like that – caps lock and everything.)

It’s 3:23am. I just finished. I’m going to bed. I’ll post it after I sleep and then after I wake up and proofread it. (There’s a couple stanzas that I’m not so sure about.) Then I’ll post it.

Sorry. Kind of anti-climatic there, I know. I just wanted to share that I finished it BECAUSE I’M SO EXCITED TO HAVE FINISHED A WWC CHALLENGE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN…WELL, A VERY LONG TIME. OH EM GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEjgrek;;fj *insert snoring sound here*

    Goodnight. πŸ˜€

Beth: *induces a hippie/stoned accent, which mostly consists of widening my eyes and drawling out my words* I was really feelin’ the squee, man. I was like, really feelin’ it all up in here. *pokes rib cage right about where heart is* It just like appeared in front of me, man, and I was like, “Woah, dude!” And it was like, “Dude, do not be afraid, man. I am the squee.” And I was all, “Woah, man.” And it was like, “Yeah, dude.”

*returns to normal* Ahem. *blinks* I’m not exactly sure where that came from. Mara, you really should excommunicate me. You see this weirdness right here? *points to above* I’m pretty sure it’s contagious.

Speaking of which, I put my story for this challenge up. πŸ˜€ *dances* I’d say that it makes me feel the squee, but the story isn’t very squee-ful so…I won’t. BUT YAY FOR WWC SUBMISSION THINGYS!!

HAHAHA! Wow. That was pretty awesome. πŸ˜› Have you ever seen… oh gosh, I forget the exact title, but it’s one of those silly animations on YouTube about a spatula. Done by the same guys who did Charlie the Unicorn and my favorites, Llamas With Hats. There’s a part with a dolphin… or is it a whale? and this drugged up hippie spatula stuck clocks in it and says something really similar to what you just said. πŸ˜› Anyway, it reminded me of that. And made me laugh. Like, a lot. Hehhehee.
