I demolish things.
I have a nine hour shift today and a ten(and-a-half) hour shift tomorrow. Yesterday I was all set to show you something I did concerning the sewing machine and a wonky garment I found at the thrift store, but I got called in to work unexpectedly, and thus didn’t have time to photograph after pictures (I have befores.)
So. Can you guess what I did with this unfortunate pair of shorts?
It shouldn’t be that difficult to guess.
I wish I had time to show you what I did with them, but I have to finish getting ready for work.

um those shorts are kind of amazing. i’m hoping you turned them into slight shorter shorts? the pattern walks that line of being so ridiculous it’s kind of wonderful.

They might have been cute as shorter shorts, come to think of it. But no, I turned them into a skirt. I’m not really a shorts person. 🙂

I vote skirt too, when I saw just the top half I thought it was a skirt and I loved the pattern, when I scrolled down and saw they were shorts… I may have gagged. The pattern would make a lovely skirt though!

I guess skirt. Or another option is like a lotta lotta non-elastic head bands. (that wouldn’t be as good/useful as a skirt but would make it harder to guess!)

I agree. This would make a wonderful skirt. Remaking things like that is fun, although you have to be careful. A few years ago I turned an old pair of skorts into a cute skirt, but misjudged the length and it ended up to short to wear. Oh well. I hope yours turned out better, whatever you decided to make.

It is fun, although I agree– you have to be careful about the length! These, fortunately, were pretty long for shorts, so the skirt-length is fine.
