Hats

She made more.

If you would like a hat, let me know in the comments and I’ll email you my mom’s email address so you can deal directly with the brains behind this beauty. 😉 They will be $15 total– $12 for the hat, and $3 shipping/handling. You can pick whatever color you want, and whether you’d like one flower, three, or ten.

All proceeds (that aren’t used for materials) go towards her “go to Ireland with my daughter” fund.

So really, it does all of us good. Mom gets to go to Ireland, I get someone to go with me, and you get to be just as fabulous as I am.

Well… almost.

😀

*sigh* I’d love a hat, but I’m broke 🙁 Like, broker than broke. I guess that’s what happens why you buy two concert tickets, a year subscription to InStyle magazine, and a year subscription to La Cucina Italiana. All in one day. Why do things have to cost so much money?!

If things don’t work out with your mom, I’ll go with you to Ireland. Can we make a pitstop in Scotland too? Yes? Lovely.

Those hats are gorgeous! Unfortunately, I am broke, and even if I weren’t, the shipping/handling procedure would probably be a bit complicated (since I don’t live in the USA).

Those are gorgeous! What pattern is your mom using? I’ve been poking around on the internet for almost a year looking for a hat pattern like that.

    • Mara

I have no idea, to be honest! I think she has a few crochet books she’s using, but also I know she printed one out from somewhere. I’ll ask her and get back to you on that.

Those hats are adorable, and I want one. Although I don’t know if I’ll ever get the chance to wear it, or if you can post to Australia.

Also, would it be possible for her to just knit flowers (separate to the hat) that I can then attach to other things (kinda like a broach or hair clip or something). That would be really cool.

    • Mara

I’m pretty sure she could do separate flowers! And I have a penpal in Australia, so it might be a little more shipping but I think we should be able to post things to you if you like. 😀

Ooo I love the hats too..only thing is..its hot and humid here all year round..and I would look like the people I roll my eyes at when I see them wearing hats in our weather..hehehehe. Though..you know..it does get cold in the office…hmm

    • Mara

Ah, yeah. That’s the sad thing about hats, you can’t really wear them as well when it’s hot out.
But as office head warmers… you could totally get away with that, right? I vote yes! 😀

Oh. My. Goodness. I need one!! I might need several… because I certainly need one and I know of a few people these would make excellent gifts for. But judging from the way my heart got fluttery when I scrolled down this page, I need one the most. 😛

And I love the cause!! 😀 😀 😀 It’s absolutely fabulous to have a traveling buddy, and being that it would be your mum and IRELAND… well, obviously I must contribute. The only problem now is I have to decide on color and amount of plumage! *sigh* Decisions…

    • Mara

Hehehe. It sounds like you DO need one the most. I just emailed you mom’s address if you want to talk to her directly, or you can just tell me what you want. 😀 I personally really love the blue one with the three flowers. They’re so FLOWERY! 😀

I know! I would LOVE to have my mom come with me to Ireland. Seriously. I think we’ll have a blast. Teehee.

      • Bethie

Me too!! 😀 I have a lot of blue accessories though, and I want to do something differently colorful. So I asked for a three-flowered one in the same color as yours in the fall post Asia linked to. 🙂 I’M SO EXCIIITED!!! 😀 😀 😀

Do you have an intended date for your travels already, or are you making the funds first and then deciding on the details when your monetary needs for the trip are met? Because I will be expecting pictures upon your return. Dozens. 😉

  • Demy

Ah, come on… I need one of these, actually the blue one. They’re so awesome. But I’m too broke for these. Mara’s mom, many congrats, cause you rooock! I hope that in the future I’ll be able to buy one, they’re so cuuute! And I like the idea with the detachable flowers, cool! Anyways, I hope that this Ireland trip will happen. Soon! 😀 😀 You’re made to live in Ireland, Mara. I believe it lol! 😀
