Yellow, Green, and Rocky

This is the day I discovered that if I am ready to go by the time Mr. Owl leaves for work, I can totally take outfit pictures before I have to leave for work. Which is an awesome discovery, because it means I can then stop at my mom’s house on the way home to blog since I have no computer of my own and no internet to upload things. And I can’t get my camera pictures into my phone. I wish I could. It would make life easier. IMG_1320

But, since it was 7:12am, I was subsequently still sleepy and also cold because spring has decided to still be frosty until like ten o’clock. In most of these pictures I was trying really hard to be happy while not looking like my arms might freeze off and really I just wanted to go back to bed.

Coffee saved the day. And coffee is always better when it’s from a Rocky and Bullwinkle cup. Seriously. I love this cup. It’s not even mine. I don’t know where it came from; it wasn’t Mr. Owl’s. I’m pretty sure it belonged to the guys that used to room upstairs in the split-level house we lived in forever ago, and somehow it just migrated downstairs whenever they’d come eat dinner with my family. And then my mom didn’t want it so I took it.

So, basically, I probably accidentally stole this cup from someone. I hope they don’t mind. Because I’m not giving it back.

I refuse to stop wearing these shoes, despite the fact that they’re falling apart at the seams, literally. I have to pose a certain way so you all don’t see the very sad and worn aspects of my heels. I’m not going to get rid of them until I find another pair of a similar color and shape, though. This style of heel is definitely my new favorite!IMG_1321

Thrifted: everything but the jewelry.
Earrings: Target
Bracelets: Forever 21

And now, because you have all been waiting SO patiently and I’ve been teasing too much about what my surprise is, here you go:

I’m blonde. Not pregnant, no book deal, no new house or new car. Although all of those things would certainly be nice! But on my birthday we went and made the appointment for me to be officially golden-haired because heck, I’m 25 and I’ve been curious to see how blonde would suit me for YEARS.

And I LOVE it!! It was definitely worth the six hours it took to get all of my natural darkness out and the beautiful blonde in. And the hairstylist was SO patient and wonderful and very attentive to the fact that the bleach had irritated my skin a little. And she was just… awesome.

What do you all think? My mom loves it, my husband says I have elf hair now, and I am definitely going to keep it for a whole! And then go red before I eventually go back to my natural color.

I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!!
