This has pretty much become my default outfit now that my belly has outgrown most of my clothes and my need to get dressed is a zero (when you work from home… well, you know.) I’ll be honest: most days now, I sit in my husband’s comfortable flannel pj pants and his softest sweater until about noon, and then decide that it’s probably about time to actually wear clothes. But not complicated ones.

I think this is the “jeans and a tee shirt” phase one of my friends expected me to be in. Only instead of jeans and a tee shirt, it’s leggings and a sweater.

6Pregnant woman’s gotta be comfortable, you know! Hopefully I will be able to have a little bit of a shopping spree soon, and then I’ll be more inclined to get dressed. Once I have garments that I know fit, instead of having to look at my closet and try about ten different shirts on before I find one that doesn’t stop three inches short of covering the stomach.

5At least some cute (comfortable) shoes and a shot of red lips makes it seem less like I’m being lazy. Which I totally am.

I swear, whenever I wear bold lipstick I cannot resist making this face. I don’t know why. It just happens, and I can’t stop myself. Haha! I think I’m much more into wearing lipstick now that fall is around, even though my husband hates it — well, he says it looks hot, but it’s no fun because he can’t kiss me — and I have to constantly check to be sure I haven’t rubbed it off. But it makes makeup much easier to do lighter eyes and a swipe of lipstick.

I ordered an awesome fuchsia color from Macy’s on a gift card that I cannot wait to try! I hope it gets here soon. 8 10 And just so you guys know, I cannot even see my feet when I look down. I don’t think it’ll be long before I can no longer see small children, either, and end up smacking them with the belly if they get too close. Ha! 9

I hope you are all having a fantastic week! I’m looking forward to the weekend, even if nothing happens! Even with working from home, not being required to get dressed or put on makeup, it’s nice to have a few days off and not have to be thinking about when I’ll get my hours in during that day. I absolutely love the flexibility of my work, but this week has been slow and I haven’t been able to work as much as I have wanted to. I try not to work when Mr. Owl is home, but sometimes it can’t be avoided!

Oh well. I’m so thankful that God provided me with a way to stay at home and still be earning the extra money we’ll need when the baby comes (and we need right now, actually.) AND it’s a job I enjoy. So blessed!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! My in-laws who currently live in the Ukraine as missionaries are coming back from a 10 month furlough this coming Tuesday, and I cannot wait to meet their kids! I’ve met my brother-in-law and his wife separately, but I’ve never gotten to meet the kids. I can’t wait!

Happy Friday!

    Hello Kristina,

That’s great that you get to meet your brother-in-law’s children! Have fun.

I always enjoy reading your blog. It just so happened that today you posted this 5minutes after I sat down to study…
    Naturally I couldn’t resist. 🙂

Anyway laziness aside (:p) you look really lovely.

Okay I’m going to go back to studying now.

    Take care

I think this is a great default outfit, regardless of pregnancy status 🙂 and yes, the red lips definitely give it that extra “something.” lookin good, glowy, happy and healthy!

This is a great pregancy outfit. It looks so comfy. I feel like my bump has grown massively over the last two weeks and I’m really struggling to find work appropriate clothes that still fur! I just ordered a load of warm clothes from asos. X

I feel the same way! It’s getting harder and harder to find clothes that fit. I REALLY want a ton of the clothes from ASOS, but I have to wait a few more days for a fun shopping spree.

Love it! Lipstick completely and always ties the whole outfit together, I’m a total addict. Also leggings and sweaters are my go-to outfit fall through winter haha. Seriously so comfortable and so cute and so easy for us lazies.

I’m determined to wear lipstick more often. It definitely does make a difference in outfits!

I’m pretty sure I will be wearing leggings and sweaters ALL winter this year. Or at least for the next 2-1/2 months till the baby is born.

That looks super comfy. Replace the leggings with a pair of old jeans, and you’ll have my winter uniform at home (call me crazy, but I find jeans more comfortable to wear than leggings. They feel like actual pants.)

I love how your bold red lipstick looks with this striped sweater. It’s like comfy Parisian! You’re so cute! Also I completely know what you mean about staying in your pajamas until noon. If I don’t have to go anywhere that day, you can almost guarantee I’ll be doing the same thing.

I have to say that leggings and a sweatshirt are much more comfy than jeans and a t-shirt. Next time maybe I’ll be able to make that my staple prego outfit too. Really though, I’m impressed at how well put together you can make yourself look, I seriously wish I had your fashion sense. You can through on an outfit and look fabulous, and I just slouch around in jeans and a t-shirt (and I am not even pregnant!)… zero creativity here.

Leggings and a sweater is much more stylish (and comfy!) than a t shirt and jeans! Lipstick does make everything look more put together. Have fun meeting the kids 🙂
