Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Casual

32

Today’s post is going to be short; my usually complacent baby has been going through some sleeping and eating changes — he eats more and sleeps less — so I’ve had very little time to do much but feed, hold, and change him… and sleep when he’s sleeping. You always know you’ll be tired after you have a baby, but you never realize that means you’ll be staying in bed until 11am because you only catch 2-3 hours of sleep at once, no matter what time of the day it is, which makes for much shorter days when you also have work to do and a house to clean.

Plus, I’ve had a cold for the last few days that has gone from stuffy nose to chest cold to sore sinuses, and popping outside in the chilly weather is probably not the best idea right now. I had hoped to get some outfit pictures in the snow, because we finally had a snowstorm, but it melted away by the time I felt better. Oh well! Next time, maybe!

I’m so happy these jeans fit me again; they might be a tad bit tight around the legs, but that’s pretty much always true with pants that fit me in other places. Oh well. I thought this would be a good casual Valentine’s day outfit, again without screaming Valentine’s Day, because the cardigan has hearts on it and… you know, red is for romance. I think it’s perfect for a trip to the mall, or a date with friends.

I’m not sure how I feel about these glasses; now that I have bangs, I think the huge glasses make the rest of my face look tiny. These never have been my favorite pair, though; I sat on my favorite pair, and I’ve yet to replace them! 1  Cardigan c/o Oasap | Target pants and necklace | Thrifted top and heels

I hope you are all having a good week! I’m determined to put up at least two more Valentine’s Day looks before the actual day, so we’ll see! I’m still figuring out how to balance work, blogging, and motherhood. It’s certainly a challenge, but a welcome one!

Happy Tuesday!

You look gorgeous, lady! I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been sick. I have been to. I was also hoping to get some pretty snow pictures but was laid up most of the day. Hopefully we’ll get another snow fall that won’t be quite so fleeting!

Aw I think the glasses look cute on you with your bangs! I love this whole casual Valentine’s day look. I just bought some red jeans on super sale and need to hem them so I can wear cute outfits like this. That cardigan looks awesome with red jeans!
