Hello friends! I didn’t anticipate taking such a long break from blogging, but well… it happened! Over the course of the past few weeks I’ve had shingles, morphed into having a terrible cold and fever, had all three of my kids be sick, and just have generally been under the weather. It’s been a crazy few weeks, but it all worked out because I think these photos are perfect for St Patrick’s Day! Though traditionally St Patrick wore blue, the rainbow sun-flare I caught and the green accents on this dress from Dolly and Dotty make for a cute low-key St Patrick’s day outfit.
I actually shot these photos a few weeks ago when I was feeling much better and had time at my mom’s to take some photos. I then promptly lost my camera remote, and haven’t attempted photos since then. Ah! I really miss doing photoshoots. Hopefully soon I’ll be back to shooting photos and blogging more. But in the meantime, I’m uploading videos to my YouTube channel and I’ve decided to mesh what I post here on the blog with what I post there a bit more. Expect to see a lot from a 1952 beauty course I’ll be filming! I really want my channel and blog to be as complimentary to each other as possible.
This means that my outfit posts may have less text, while other things like vintage housekeeping and beauty will make appearances and potentially have more text. We shall see as I adjust and work it so that my social media outlets are in harmony! Because I’ll be honest, having two (or three if you count Instagram!) different narratives on these platforms is a bit stressful and feels like I’m working about a million jobs instead of feeling seamless and cohesive.
