Graysmarsh U-Pick Berry and Lavender Farm

On Saturday, we went to the Graysmarsh farm in Sequim, where you can pick your own raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, loganberries, blackberries, boysenberries, artichokes, lavender, and who knows what else! It was SO much fun; this is one of the places we went on the day we got engaged last year, so we’ve decided to try to make it a yearly tradition to come. I tried to discover a little more about the farm, but the only thing I can find is that these berry fields were being cultivated as early as 1855. Oh, Hawaii

Just bringing you a little taste of Paradise on a Saturday. This has to do with love, right? Since it’s from my honeymoon? Surprisingly, we didn’t take very many pictures on our honeymoon (seeing as how I’m a snapaholic and he’s a photographer), but we got one or two good ones. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back on Monday with the continuation of the Valentine’s Day posts!   follow me on: bloglovin | chictopia | facebook | twitter | pinterest | Instagram/Ink361

I had been there before, although I never realized they had a lighthouse, but Mr. Owl had never explored the park. There are a lot of things to see there– a lighthouse, abandoned military bunkers, beautiful old military housing you can still rent, the beach, cliffs, a castle… You’ve already seen the above two pictures, but I didn’t want to post about this trip without them. The lighthouse was the first place we went, since it was the…

    Tuesday’s Adventure: Camping! Part Two.

As you know, my family and Mr. Owl and I went camping a few weekends ago (if you didn’t see it, part one is here.) On the last day, we headed out of Kalaloch to Ruby Beach, and on the way, we stopped by what was (I think) just called “Big Cedar Tree”. Which… it was. Huge. What you see in the above picture is only about half of the base of the tree. I was absolutely mesmerized by its roots. They were twisted and straight, rough and smooth, a poetry of entanglement and contrasts. Nature is seriously amazing. Mr. Owl decided to climb around the tree without touching the…
