    Sweet Valentine | Outfit

Happy Valentine’s Day! Growing up, my parents gave all of us kids Valentines+chocolate, my cousins and I always had a Valentine’s tea party (which we do to this day!), and my brothers and I always exchanged Valentines. So I never really hated the day, even through the years of being single (and being one of the last single friends); to me, Valentine’s day has always been about showing everyone you care about that you love them. I am naturally a romantic, so of course I always wished I had a special someone, but to be honest, I’ve always looked forward more to the chocolate than anything else on Valentine’s day.…

Whole30 Pregnancy + Maternity Fitness Log

Tomorrow I am starting what will hopefully be my second complete Whole30 since Asa was born — but the big difference between this one and that will be, obviously, that I’ll be doing the Whole30 while pregnant! Like, really pregnant. And I am hoping that this will continue into the rest of my pregnancy being a Whole30 pregnancy. In the last few years, I have recognized in myself a tendency to be an all-or-nothing type; I either stick to the rules 100%, or I drop it altogether. Perspective

Some of you may have seen a little bit of this via Instagram and a compare-contrast picture I posted yesterday. But since I’m sick today, I thought it was a good time to expound upon my thoughts. Yesterday, as I was going through my Pinterest outfit archives to save old outfit pictures for a remixed-items album on Facebook, I came across these pictures above and below, and they made me sad. Weekly Check In: Diet Talk

Note: Please understand that with any of my diet and exercise posts, I am not beating myself up over a number. I fully understand the difference between having healthy goals and having unhealthy goals. I’m not out to lose 50lbs and diet to the extreme. I’m not devastated over my current weight or body. I’m trying to teach myself to eat healthily, make the right choices, and reach goals that I have had for a long time. I’m trying to break  bad habits that will definitely carry me to obesity if I let them keep happening. I hope you all don’t mind if I start doing a weekly check in with diet…

    Thursday’s adventure: Dieting

As you know, or maybe you don’t so you should go read this, I am trying to lose a moderate amount of weight and become generally healthier (aka, not binge on junk food all the time and be able to take a hike without wanting to die at the end). I am reluctant to call it “dieting” because dieting is a fad, and I plan to implement this healthy change of eating habits for the rest of my life. I would like to start writing a weekly weigh-in post, both for myself and for any of you who are trying to become healthier, to record a general overview of my…
