Marvel skirt, gray tee, and a detachable collar

If ever you were to look through my (very sizeable) wardrobe, there would be one thing you might notice is in glaring deficiency: basics. I have read every “must have in your closet” or “basics for every woman” article there is, and every time I take the handy checklists to my closet, I find that I am missing about 85% of the recommended basic garments. I don’t own a black blazer, a pair of dressy slacks, a neutral cardigan (unless mustard yellow counts), a white button up blouse, or even a wrap dress. I’ve been wanting to mix these three items for quite a while, but an outfit like this deserves an actual place gone to (unlike most days, where I get dressed for… uh… Asa… and my husband when he gets home…) and not just getting dressed for the sake of blogging. Which, yes, sometimes I do that. Posting a blog post is motivation for getting dressed some days. One of my goals for this year is to get dressed daily even if I am not going anywhere. Deerrings.

To be honest, yesterday I spent most of the day either pantsless or shirtless because I was too hot and lazy to do anything. Pregnancy does that to you. And I almost didn’t get dressed. Most of the day was spent either laying on the bed reading, getting my hours in for work (pantsless or shirtless; the pros of working from home), or admiring the ever-growing baby belly (yes, I admire my own baby bump. I can’t help it!) But then… magic. This cardigan came for me in the mail from Oasap, and I. Am. In. Love. I will be obsessed with this sweater for a while, so I might…
