Paris in the Morning | Outfit

Happy Thursday! This post is coming to you really late because today was just… guys. You know those days when you just can’t? And you just want to slum around in your pajamas and watch TV all day? Today felt like one of those days for me, except I have two kids and Asa just wants to watch Daniel Tiger (side note, the Tiger family has tiger skin drapes. Um. Twisted much?) and feed his sister all the things she can’t eat (everything). So instead, we went to my parents’ house and watched Emma while Asa played with a bunch of toys that he isn’t used to, and Evie pooped…

    Bohemian Wanderer | Outfit

When I was young and living in Eastern Washington, I remember walking through a particular field that was flooded with wildflowers and loving to pretend that I was a gypsy. I romanticized the wandering life, and often liked to dress up in colorful, flowing bohemian outfits to flit through that field and pick bachelor’s buttons and daisies, and imagine some rogue on a dark horse would sweep me away into a whirlwind life of travel and romance. Alice | Outfit

When I challenged myself to blog every day this month, I thought I would start to get tired of it. But much to my surprise, I’ve felt a burst of creativity in the last few days. I nearly gave up on getting photos yesterday because the weather was flat and gray, the baby was a sassy teething grump-nugget, and the toddler didn’t take a nap. But my mom came over, and as I was telling myself all the reasons I had not to take photos… I somehow convinced myself to take photos. Perhaps part of the convincing was that I saw this dress that Hannah sent me a while ago,…

    By the Sea | Outfit

I literally bled for these photos. So, I can pretty much now say this blog has cost me blood, sweat, and tears. And okay, maybe I am being dramatic but I did not misuse “literally.” I wouldn’t do that to you. In attempting to get a shot of myself sitting on a log by the sea, I didn’t look where I was going and my hip scraped against a branch that somehow tore up my skin without ripping my circle skirt at all. There really was blood, but not enough to soak through anything, thankfully. And I mean, it was totally worth it. Despite being in the shade by the…

    Sunday Brights | Outfit

Today, the weather is gray and my hair wouldn’t cooperate; I have a much better post planned and photographed for tomorrow, and I’m already in my yoga pants and comfiest tee waiting to curl up and watch Farscape or Daredevil or one of the million other TV shows currently on my to-watch Netflix list, so I’ll just leave you with these few quick shots and wish you all a relaxing and happy Sunday!
