Vintage Plaid Skirt and Striped Bolero
This past week, I have been feeling morning sickness unlike the sickness I felt with Asa. It lasts all day, from the moment I emerge from beneath my covers, sloth-like and groaning in the morning light, to the hour I re-enter the dark cave of sleep and bliss. Frustratingly, I cannot stand the smells and flavors of food; the pungent herbal aroma of chicken gravy, the so-strong-you-can-taste-it invasion of garlic, the bold red meatiness of ground beef… I can’t stand any of it. Determination
You guys have no idea how difficult it was to take pictures today. I mean, getting out of bed is hard. Getting dressed in real clothes is a victory. And putting on my own shoes? That, my dears, is almost impossible. I mean, when you’re only six days away from your due date, it’s a miracle when you see your feet, much less reach them. Flowers and mustard
There are so many exciting things coming up right now, it’s hard to know what to start with! I’m almost full-term with pregnancy, it’s almost Christmas, I’m almost done with Dressember, it’s almost time for vacation with my in-laws… I can’t believe all of the things happening. We’ll start with Dressember: I forgot to do a roundup for last week AND the week before, and I missed one day completely (didn’t get dressed, I’ll admit!). Slowing Down
This outfit marks the last one that I will be wearing with heels. Sadly, as I mentioned in my last post, I discovered that it totally stresses my husband out that I’ve been wearing high heels while pregnant (because I fell down… in this outfit, right after I finished taking outfit pictures. Scraped up my knees, bled on the tights — thank goodness they’re red — and scuffed one of the sleeves of the dress), and lately I’ve also finally been feeling some harsher pregnancy effects, like my hips being out of whack and the groin soreness getting worse and worse.
