Goals of a New Mom
Today my goals are simple, and I only have three: 1. Stay dressed — this might not seem too hard, but believe me: when you have a newborn, you only get about 5 solid hours of sleep a night, and your house is almost always cold, it’s very tempting to stay in the softest, warmest pair of pajamas you can find and veg out watching Sherlock on Netflix. So I got dressed this morning in my new Oasap shirt, and I plan to stay dressed. I love this shirt, though, so it shouldn’t be hard. 2. Do the dishes. Weekend Wishlist: Modcloth Uniquely You style challenge edition
Myrtlewood Sacramento Style Skirt by eccentric-owl featuring low pumps Last week, I was asked to participate in Modcloth’s Uniquely You campaign by creating a look around this super cute skirt. Of course, being a huge lover of Modcloth, I said yes! And, since I haven’t done a wishlist in a while, I also only chose items that I actually really want. I tried to style the skirt as I might if I owned it, with a retro flair and at least one animal themed item. Flowers in the Forest
This post could more correctly be titled “The thrift junkie and her wardrobe.” I didn’t realize until I went down to name where everything came from that everything I’m wearing (except for the wedding ring, obviously) is thrifted. And who would have guessed? I mean, the only tell is the fact that there are two missing buttons on the dress I haven’t replaced yet. Shh. Don’t tell. In which I mostly stare at my feet.
Two posts in one day! Yay! I decided I didn’t like leaving my last post for the weekend as a video. Somehow, I much prefer leaving pictures to for you to look at while I’m off gallivanting around town. There are some dresses or skirts I have that, for whatever reason, I always mean to blog about but never have. This dress is one of them– so far as I can recall, anyway.
