    Bohemian Lace

    Let me preface this by saying: the more I look at this outfit, the less I like it. I like the pieces in and of themselves, but all together… eh. Oh well. You can’t always hit the mark perfectly, especially when you’re blogging every day! Today is a day for laziness, for cuddling up on the couch with my coziest blanket and my squishiest baby and watching Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries all afternoon.     Borrowing

    One of the nice things about having photographed the vintage in my shop is that on rainy days like today, I can borrow the pictures for an outfit post! This is how I’ve always imagined wearing this skirt, but it doesn’t fit me (it’s a few inches too small in the waist.) The delicate colors just had to be worn with this lace top, and  when I went to style the outfit for the shop, I immediately knew what I’d do.     Couch Pants

    This is my very first pair of maternity pants. And, while I absolutely love them (no buttons!), I have also determined that I probably won’t be buying very many actual maternity garments. Why? Well. For one, maternity clothes are expensive from actual maternity stores, and mostly ugly or frumpy from thrift stores. For two, why should pregnant women only have the option of  small, medium, or large pants? Do we get more uniform in shape when we’re pregnant? (Answer: no. If anything, we get even more unique and need more specific sizing!) And for three, maternity clothing style seems to be so… tired motherish. Most of the maternity sections in stores…
