Book Review/Inspired Outfit: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Excuse the horrible photoshop. I was being lazy and trying to go fast. As you can see, I’ve just finished reading Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and it’s time for a review! I had planned to be inspired by one of the photographs other than the cover, but… did I mention lazy? The Nerdy Mom
Today, we are going to the drive-in movies on a date, without Asa — we usually take him with us and only stay for the first movie — and as I mentioned, we’re going to see E.T. and Back to the Future. Mom Style: Leggings Are(n’t) Pants
So I was always firmly on the side of “leggings are not pants” argument. You can totally be more creative than that, I thought. Skirts are just as easy. Dresses are just one piece. Even jeans can be okay, when styled nicely. And for the longest time, I looked at girls who wore leggings for pants with a certain amount of fashion disdain. They were so not trying hard enough. Coming to a close
Well, you guys, it’s the last day of the year! And what better way to end the year than with a fabulous dress? Sunday Millie sent me this adorable 60’s number, and I LOVE it! My husband is skeptical about the fabric– it’s a mixture of satiny and rough — but I told him it doesn’t matter. The pattern is cute, I happen to like the fabric, and it’s one of those awesome tent dresses that can be belted for shape, or left flowing if you’re feeling lazy. Flowers and mustard
There are so many exciting things coming up right now, it’s hard to know what to start with! I’m almost full-term with pregnancy, it’s almost Christmas, I’m almost done with Dressember, it’s almost time for vacation with my in-laws… I can’t believe all of the things happening. We’ll start with Dressember: I forgot to do a roundup for last week AND the week before, and I missed one day completely (didn’t get dressed, I’ll admit!).
