One jumpsuit two ways
So this is a garment that has my family and friends split on whether it’s good or terrible, and I confess I tried it on at the thrift store because it looked crazy and I was going to make fun of it. My dad loves it. My mom and my husband think it’s weird and ugly. And I mean… jumpsuits? I have always been firmly on the “Definitely not!” side of that argument. Mom Jeans
This weekend, I finally decided that it was time to move out of the ever-so-comfortable maternity jeans and into real, made-for-a-woman jeans — as in, not the low-cut skinny jeans currently filling my drawers. You know, the ones that aren’t made for a girl with rather curvaceous thighs and a plentiful bum, and thus show some skin whenever you bend over or sit down? Yeah. I should probably toss those. But I love the colors. Anyway! So I went jeans shopping. Couple Style: St. Patrick’s Day
I can’t type much today; I’ve got a sleeping baby in my arms. Which is not a bad reason. These were our St. Patrick’s day outfits for the brief time I was out of the house; we went to my parents’ for dinner, and snapped pictures next to the beautiful flowering tree in their yard. My husband is fresh from work. He called this his “lazy style” because he neglected to zip his boots and has disheveled hair. We tested taking jumping pictures, as you can see. Almost Lover
I thought I’d do something a little different– black and white pictures. Or almost black and white. I never do colorless things (you know me and bright colors) but my outfit is all black, brown, and cream today so it doesn’t detract much to make it grayscale. Right? I’ve had Almost Lover stuck in my head all day. It has become a sort of inspiration/theme song for that vampire novel I’m trying to finish this month, and I can’t stop singing it. It’s one of the most beautiful songs ever. And my boss was mocking me when I was humming it at work. Which made it slightly less beautiful. Darn…
