Tied up in Knots
Let me tell you a story. This story involves a girl, a shirt, and a problematic situation involving buttons. You see, this girl loves to wear pretty button-up shirts tied up, and thinks they look swell. But the fact is, those button-up shirts dislike staying buttoned, and as life would have it the girl’s shirt decides that outfit-picture taking time is the perfect time to unbutton, and thus she doesn’t notice that half her outfit pictures were taking with a scandalously wide gape on her upper half. Spring Brights
I was doing my makeup when my husband got dressed this morning, and although I knew he was wearing yellow pants and a blue coat, it didn’t really dawn on me that we would match when I got dressed. I only wore this dress because I was trying out some new bright eyeshadow, and the bright dress seemed fitting. But I think that’s how it is, living with someone. Before Mr. Owl, my mom and I would almost always come out of our rooms dressed in the same colors, and it seemed often when my out-of-state friends would come to stay for a week, we’d always end up matching. Instagram Outfits
After taking an inventory of my closet (yes, I do that…) I realized that of the 35 (plus… cuz I bought more like… I shouldn’t have…) skirts in my closet, I wear… oh, probably about ten of them in rotation. Given, some of them are not year-round skirts (wool, or very light summery fabric), but for the most part probably 75% of my skirts are skirts I should be able to wear right now. Just a note.
Hi. I don’t have much time, but I just wanted to let you all know that I’m still alive. And that I feel very fashion-blogger-y today. It’s my first time mixing florals. I love it.
