    Twanoh State Park

I apologize ahead of time because this is going to be a REALLY photo-heavy post. We took these pictures right before I re-dyed my hair, and I was too impatient (as always) to share them before I shared my new haircolor. I had nearly forgotten about them! But I was sick yesterday, and I’m lazy today, so here we are, finally. I’ll try to keep it down with the pictures, but… a few weeks ago, we had this fall adventure in a gorgeous park, and I love so many of the pictures… so it’ll be hard. Twanoh State Park is really close to where we’re currently living, and we’ve driven…

    Leavenworth

So this last weekend, we went up to Leavenworth with my husband’s family. It was the first time I’d actually spent the night in Leavenworth, and previous to this I’d only ever been there three times — once when it was excruciatingly hot, once when it was extremely cold (and I was eight months pregnant and terrified of slipping on the icy streets), and once when it was actually quite nice but we didn’t get to explore as long as I’d hoped. I’d been considering surprising him with an adventure all week but I didn’t decide to actually do it until that morning. So we went off to Westport, where the tallest lighthouse in Washington can be found. My family has gone to Grays…

This is My Story, and I’m Sticking To It.

I thought I should write y’all a short update on life right now, if you care enough to wonder why I haven’t updated Fiction Press or written any blogs for a week and a half. I got back from New Mexico, where the weather hated me and I got heat exhaustion not once, but three times. While I was there, I visited Old Town Albuquerque, went to a lot of thrift stores (Albuquerque has the best ones!), got my nails done, and spent a lot of time prostrate on the bathroom floor hoping not to puke. The Cute Little Fox Albuquerque Airport I will never, ever do this again. For…
