Wedding attire: the bling edition
So I realize that come Saturday, it will have been a full two weeks since I’ve done a proper outfit post. Who knew getting engaged could make me neglect the blog so much? I miss taking outfit pictures. But we’ll have a good set of engagement pictures coming next week, hopefully, so y’know. At least there’s that. One thing about my wedding dress that is only slightly disappointing is the fact that it doesn’t quite go with the necklace I meant to wear. Wedding attire: what to wear on your head.
Yesterday, I found a dress. It wasn’t what I had imagined, because actually I couldn’t solidify what the imaginary bride-me would wear down the aisle, but it is PERFECT and I love it and I did not want to take it off. It made my mom cry, my maid of honor cry, one of my best friends cry, and I cried. So, you know, I couldn’t leave it there. And no, I will not show you all a picture. Wedding, wedding, and more wedding.
This is me right now. Testing wedding hair– except, add curls– and wedding makeup, wearing the necklace that has been passed down from my great-grandma’s wedding to my grandma, and then my mom, and now (in 117 days) my own. I have dreamed of wearing this necklace for years. I think it’s so unique, and it has such history, and it’s so much more interesting and beautiful than the normal bling brides wear.
