    White Eyelet and Red Snakeskin

I have to confess: I took this belt off within five minutes of getting to work. It’s one of the sad things of being pregnant; lots of my favorite skirts and belts don’t fit so well any more. But that just gives me leave to buy MORE skirts and belts that DO fit! It’s also made me wear dresses a lot more, because there’s more stomach room in most of my dresses, and the waists aren’t usually as snug. We’ll see how long that lasts.   I have also been trying to wear the lightest (as in, coolest) clothes possible, and the least amount of layers I can get away with,…

30 Days of Dresses: Color Clashing

While Mr. Owl was taking these pictures of me at the park, a lady with a dog came up and said “want a dog in your pictures? She’s real photogenic!” at which moment… the dog started to take a dump in the grass. It was lovely. And then the lady stood there and watched us for a few minutes. It was the first instance where we’ve had someone just stand there and stare while we were taking pictures. So awkward. So very, very awkward. Especially with the dog in the background… doing its business without a care as to who was watching. Oh, dogs. I have discovered that I love…

    Easter

It feels like it’s been forever since I posted a blog! But in fact, it’s only been a week. I have missed you all, though, and I’ve missed all of the shenanigans that arise taking outfit pictures. This particular shoot, I decided at one point (which you’ll see) to climb and lean on an old fence… which resulted in my arms becoming so inflamed with an allergic reaction that I had red ridges everywhere I’d touched the fence. It was beautiful. Mr. Owl and I tried to do a little Easter photoshoot beneath the beautiful blooming tree in my driveway, but we’re so out of practice… plus, we only had…

    White, white, and white.

This post is going to be detail pictures only, because I am irritated at the full-body shots. Or rather, I’m irritated at my camera. My camera thinks that my skin and this dress are the same color, and refuses to separate the two. Also, it doesn’t want to pick up the details. But I had to share the fact that it’s SNOWING!!! FINALLY. And yes, that did require lots of exclamation points and all-capital words. I love the snow. It hasn’t really started to stick yet, but I think it will. It’s beautiful outside. I might have to get my photographer friend (who has a WAY better camera than mine!) to come…

    Keys, birds, and leopard print.

I know you’re probably waiting in suspense to find out where I went this weekend, but I have some photo-editing I want to do before I tell you, and I haven’t done an outfit post in WAY too long. I miss it. I found this dress today at a little (slowly-getting-seedy) thrift store for four dollars. And as you all probably know by now (or should), I can’t resist a good twirly skirt (as evidenced by about half the pictures I took today). It’s also perfect for the weather we’re having (it was 83 degrees today! I half miss the rainy cold weather, half like the heat), because it’s light…
