    Poems and florals

SO last week I was not very successful in writing every day. My laptop charger cord hasn’t come in the mail yet (let’s hope it comes today!) so I haven’t really made myself sit and write. I worked a little bit on The Jester… but other than that my chaptered stories have been sorely neglected. I did, however, write a poem that I am currently trying to illustrate to make into a children’s book. Here’s a rough draft of what the illustration will look like… because I love it so much I can’t keep it a secret until Wednesday. He’s simple, but he’s my monster and I love him. The…

Hmmm. Yes. Well, so much for that.

One of my resolutions this year was to write every day- and blogging doesn’t count. But I’ve run into a bit of an obstacle. Mainly, my laptop’s power cord is on the fritz and either doesn’t charge at all, or gets incredibly hot while charging and becomes a bit of a fire hazard. And I don’t have the money at the moment to buy a new cord. Thus… writing anything other than blogs- which I can do from my parents’ computer- becomes a bit hard. Free

Dedicated to my second nephew, Benton, who was stillborn this morning, three days before his due date. And for my brother and his wife as they mourn for their fourth child and first son. Bliss. He is enveloped by a love purer than any he would ever have known. He cannot remember how he came to be, nor where he had come from. Thoughts…

    Aphotic Pulchritude

Being a writer, there isn’t a creative spurt that goes by where I do not stop to search for synonyms when one form of a word just doesn’t seem like enough to me, or when I have to use that word more than once every few paragraphs  and need more forms  of it  to make it less repetitive. And more often than not, I find that there are so many more interesting synonyms for everyday words than I thought there were. Today, I wanted to share the less-used synonyms of words that pertain to the chapter I’m currently writing. I’ve searched for all of these today, and I absolutely love the synonyms! They’re…

    Seeewwwww Loneleeeee

Excuse the random lolspeak title. I’m in a weird(a.k.a. normal) mood today. (Warning: this post is full of many random subject changes due to my mind having no sure direction and more than one thought at a time this morning.) The muse has returned! Grandma came home last night (she ran away. (went on vacation) ), and just as I had suspected, my lack of inspiration to write was directly related to living alone. I am not a live-alone person. At all. As I think I said in a post earlier this week. I get depressed, uninspired, subdued, and don’t feel like eating. Totally  not me at ALL. I’m generally…
