    Life lately, according to Instagram

    1. The sky this morning was AMAZING. And you can’t tell in the picture, but in the distance there were gorgeous hazy  mountains, and the water was all pink and the skyline was rosy… so pretty. 2. My outfit today. I love it. I’m wearing a scarf as a belt, and I think coral and blue is my favorite combo EVER. I need more coral! 3. Lunch! Minus the homemade Whole30 approved devilled eggs which are fantastic, if I do say so myself… 4. the most amazingest carrots I have EVER had, thanks to this recipe. I have now purchased her cookbook. I don’t like carrots. These were THAT GOOD.…

    Life Lately

    1. Boots, orange tights, and one of my favorite dresses (from Sarah With a Bow) = fall attire! It’s getting cold enough here that I can’t go without tights any more. 2. This belt makes me feel like Wonder Woman. 3. Favorite tights, favorite new shoes (My first Modcloth Purchase. LOVE.) 4. I made Milk Tarts for the first time under the teaching of a wonderful friend. They were lovely. 5.The most delicious little platter of food EVER. Smoked salmon, roast beef, dill beans, pickles, salad, dill dip, horseradish dip, and delicious sweet bread. Yum! 6. Cookies that Mr. Owl made. SO good. 7, 8: I love Mr. Owl’s socks.…

    Pretty Food

I cooked Moroccan food today. Chicken Soup with Couscous. It was amazing. Grated tomatoes (ha!), fresh mint, (!!! from our back yard!), a cinnamon stick, parsley, cilantro, paprika, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper. FRESH MINT!!! I looove it. The spices again. They were pretty. I couldn’t help it. Spices and the cookbook at a wonky angle. It was much prettier before I added all the spices. The… er… spices again. What? They were pretty. Oh, and look, there’s couscous! Adding the first round of spices. So mine wasn’t quite as pretty as the picture in the cookbook. Because I didn’t add the second two cups of water like I was…

Because I Will Never Be A Thief

So most people know that if they ever want to set fire to something, I am not the person they should call on for help, because I suck at starting things on fire. Seriously. I can’t even get a cigarette lighter lit. Nor can I set fire to a fire-starter log, which is made out of extremely flammable material. So everyone pretty much knows that. But if you ever want to rob a house, yeah… don’t call me to help you, because I will find the one thing to knock over, and it will make the loudest noise you could possibly make in the middle of the night. Oh, and…
