New Year Wishes and Instagram Outfits

I have been very faithfully recording my daily outfits on Instagram lately, so if you’re craving more outfits and I’m slow posting them to the blog, check on my Instagram, @owleccentric! I will be trying to make an insta-outfit pictures album on Facebook, but I can’t really do that until we get internet at my house. I have a few New Year’s resolutions now that we’re in the New Year and I’ve finished sharing my wedding pictures with you all, and since I didn’t do an official “Happy New Year!” post, I thought I’d do that now. So here they are. My new years resolutions. 1. Wear more/find more vintage…

    The day she was..

… able to manage like a proper manager. This could also be the day I: realized my bag and my shoes match, was yelled at by a man across the parking lot that my outfit was awesome, went to Cash&Carry to stock for the first time, realized how much I love Cash&Carry, learned more things about work, hired someone, interviewed 2 people, found out what kind of person is a definite no, inventoried the stock room, cleaned some pretty groaty corners, and felt much less overwhelmed than I did yesterday. I’m actually having quite a bit of fun with “The day she…” titles for blog posts. Every day is a…

    The little things

I’m not sure how I feel about these pants. I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of red straight leg or skinny jeans for a while, and while these still aren’t quite up to my expectations, I think I like them. Other than the fact that they’re skinny pants and they pretty much just go “BOOM I have hips.” Which I’m not sure is altogether flattering. I know you’re probably waiting in suspense to find out where I went this weekend, but I have some photo-editing I want to do before I tell you, and I haven’t done an outfit post in WAY too long. I miss it. I found this dress today at a little (slowly-getting-seedy) thrift store for four dollars. And as you all probably know by now (or should), I can’t resist a good twirly skirt (as evidenced by about half the pictures I took today). It’s also perfect for the weather we’re having (it was 83 degrees today! I half miss the rainy cold weather, half like the heat), because it’s light…

    Remix, repeat, rewear… etc…

I know, I know. I just wore this skirt… that is actually a dress. And I also said I probably wasn’t going to blog today. Well. It’s my blog, my rules. So there. I keep forgetting that I was going to do the 30-for-30 challenge, which… I am going to do it once I start house-sitting next week, and I haven’t bought anything new since I decided not to spend my tips in August, but I think that I am rendering the “first” outfit of 30-for-30 to be null and void. Oh well. Guess how long it took me to shoot my outfit pictures today? Five minutes. Yep, you read that right.…
