Thoughts

It’s  been a long time since I’ve read the Bible on my own-  meaning aside from studies and church. I feel awful.  But conversations with the lovely Avra have spurred me to get back on it, since I  like hearing her side of things, and… I miss the daily reading.

Today’s reading is going to be quick. I read Genesis 39; the account of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife.

Aside from Joseph and his great example of being a godly man in all situations, the thing that stuck out to me was the repetition of “The Lord was with him/Joseph” through the good and the bad things that happen in this chapter. God was with Joseph and he prospered, God was with Joseph when he was thrown in jail. It’s a good reminder that God is always there, no matter what.

And no matter what, Joseph relied on God. In my opinion, he’s the second best example of how we should be- the first example being Jesus, of course.

I know this isn’t very long or deep, but um… that’s pretty much all I really have to say. 🙂 Unless someone starts up a discussion and spurs me to think more.

Thank you for sharing this chapter today because it confirmed something that is going on in my own life that is very hard right now. Bless you.
