Having a moment together right after the ceremony, reveling in the fact that we’re married. My absolutely beautiful maid of honor in the headband I made for her to wear. Gosh, she’s a natural beauty, isn’t she? (No makeup, this girl.) The wedding cake. I made the toppers, my aunt made the cake. It was SO perfect I can’t even tell you. I loved it.  I’ve never met a fluffy dress I didn’t twirl. Bonus of getting married in the winter: you get to wear really cute tights. Just a few random shots from my wedding that I love, because I didn’t get to do a six-month post as I…

    Wedding Pictures, Part Three: Us.

These are the last of the wedding pictures, and my particular favorites. To make the pictures extra special, we decided to take pictures on the same walk we took on our first date exactly one year before (well, minus a day…). We walked down by the water, visited the coffee shop where we met, and wandered by the beautiful Christmas tree. It was magical!     I’ve found my love, and it is bliss. I hope you have enjoyed the pictures! Have a beautiful Wednesday!   follow me on: bloglovin | chictopia | facebook | twitter | pinterest | Instagram/Ink361

    Friday Giveaway: Simply Bridal (CLOSED)

To end this week’s wedding-focused posts, I’m very excited to host my first giveaway ever: a beautiful, beautiful veil from the very lovely Simply Bridal! A few weeks before my wedding, Simply Bridal contacted me with the offer to send me a veil of my choice to either use in my wedding and review, or use as a giveaway. I chose this veil because of the beading and how delicate and pretty it is, but then just by chance I happened upon the 1950’s blusher that I ended up using… so guess what? I’m giving away this gorgeous, beaded veil to one of you lucky brides-to-be (or, y’know, if you’re…

Wedding Pictures, Part Two: the boys, and the ceremony

There aren’t nearly as many pictures of Mr. Owl before the ceremony, sadly, because he got ready in a different place and I only had one photographer. But there was a little of Mr. Owl pre-ceremony in the wedding video, so that’s good enough. Mr. Owl’s younger brother was his best man, and their nephew was our ringbearer. He’s pretty adorable. IT really was a family affair, because Mr. Owl’s dad officiated the wedding; I was very happy about that. It made the whole day so special to have so much family involved! My second set of parents are pretty fantastic, and I love them. For the decoration of the…

Wedding Pictures, Part One: The girls

We finally got our wonderful, wonderful wedding pictures from the awesome Ivory Button, and I’m SO excited to start sharing them with you! There are a million pictures and I love all of them, so I  will be doing an all-wedding week this week, ending with a super exciting giveaway from Simply Bridal on Friday (so be sure to stick around and see what it is!) Part one, as the title of this post might suggest, is all about me and my girls (and my family). Mr. Owl and I elected not to see each other until I walked down the aisle, so we took all of these pictures before…
