Maternity wishlist, and a new way to link up!
1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10/11/12 The weather has started to cool down here, and I never thought I’d be so excited to wake up to a misty, gray morning… but I am! I think I’ve started to get excited for fall, for scarves and rainy days and hot tea in the mornings. And tights. And boots! I’m hoping to stick to somewhat of a color scheme with the seasons, and so far I’ve been drawn to dark reds, black, browns, and mustard. I think those will be my fall colors. I just hope I can find good transitional garments! That first dress isn’t maternity, but it looks loose enough that I think it’d work…

Stars and Stripes
Happy Fourth of July! So far, today has been great for me. I have the day off, which is wonderful (except I’ll have to work tomorrow, which means I can’t stay up too late…), and I slept in till an uprecedented 9:30. You guys, when you’re pregnant, sleeping in is even better. It’s like heaven. The weather isn’t looking too promising but I’m going to have faith in the forecast, which says it’ll be sunny and in the 70’s by one o’clock. I hope. The clouds this morning do allow me to wear this cardigan, but I’m sure I’ll be losing it later. Do you all have any exciting plans…

Gingham prints and new hair
I’m back to dark hair again after two long weeks of hating my roots. I’m too cheap to get my hair touched up every month for $40, so it’s back to my normal $3.99 box dye and presto! But honestly, although I had fun with blonde hair, it made me realize how much more I LOVE being a brunette. Dark hair is my thing. In other news, we are FINALLY getting Internet at our house on Wednesday! No more blogging from my phone! Yay! And one of these days I’ll actually take real outfit pictures in this dress and these heels. I love them. I hope you are all having…

Everyone Looks Better In…
It’s probably pretty obvious that I love these Sunglasses. I’ve worn them every chance I get; any tiny break of sunshine through these clouds, and I’m grabbing the sunnies. Love. So this is the little tiny break of trees right in our yard. We live in such a nice little out-of-the way country neighborhood. The road is relatively a quiet one, except for the dogs across the road who barked at me the entire time I was taking pictures. I know that one of them is named Daisy, and one is Nestor, and there’s a third one that the owner never yells at who must be a very well behaved…

Dress (gift): Modcloth Tights: Kohl’s Heels: Thrifted Mr Owl’s brother got married last Friday, and this dress came JUST in time to wear. My husband bought it for me (along with some awesome sunglasses) for Valentine’s day, but for some reason their sizing runs way large so we had to send away for a smaller size. I love it, though. I want to wear this dress all day every day forever. It’s twirly, it’s retro, it’s got heart pockets, and it’s just perfect.
