It’s a Hairy Situation (And Other Random Things.)

In October, I wrote about how I wanted to grow my hair out again. I was going to chronicle the length each month, but as you might have guessed… I forgot about it.

But then this morning as I decided to wear my hair down for the first time in… a long time, I realized that it’s grown a bit and that I hadn’t done any hair-posts for a while. I’m sure you’re all excited about this post. Because my hair is just THAT important to you all. 😉

I also realized that my hair is indomitably straight- straighter than I remembered, seeing as how I’ve been wearing it up or washing it at night, which results in a lot of weird kinks and tangles- and I can’t keep it out of my eye.

I mean, I can push it aside for about five seconds…

But as soon as I let go, it just falls right back into my face.

So it’s grown about… I’d say… I don’t even know. It’s grown a little since October. Here’s a refresher:

Ooh. It’s grown more than I thought it had.

In other news, so that this post isn’t a totally vain one, I’m HOME!

If you remember, I’d been suffering from severe allergic reactions to my cat and my brother’s dog, and therefore had to live at my grandma’s for about two months. We tried one natural allergist nearer where we lived… but her methods weren’t working like they should have been working (according to my doctor AND my aunt), so we gave her up and went to the recommended natural allergist that was much further away from home.

Two visits later, I was living at home and am not allergic to my cat. Four later, I’m no longer allergic to the dog. Through her, we found out that the other woman had been doing it all wrong. Which wasn’t a surprise.

Now that I’m living at home, I’ve also been a whole lot more creative. I have my own space again, my own schedule, and… it also probably helps that I’m working.

So there’s a mini-update on life.

I hope you all are well.

I can’t believe Christmas is 19 days away! AND my second nephew will be born in less than a month!

Which reminds me, I don’t think I’ve ever properly introduced my first nephew. So here he is:

His name is Jon August. He turned one year old on Thanksgiving day. He’s a blond-haired, blue-eyed, chubby-cheeked bundle of un-cute cuteness. His ears stick out, he has no eyebrows, his chin is currently being eaten by the double one, and he’s adorable. (The kissy marks are from me.) He smiles a lot. He loves to give kisses.

He cries like a girl.

I have to leave for work in an hour and a half, so I’d better stop rambling and get things done. (Like eat a real lunch. Cheetos and coffee don’t constitute as a real lunch. Or so I’m told.)
