Summer Plaid || Emily and Fin

It’s probably the biggest cliche in the book that a blogger loves fall, but for once I won’t fight the cliche. I love fall, and I’m so very ready to have cool weather and crisp leaves, pumpkin patches, costume parties, fall colors, and fun layers! But while we are still in the middle of summer more or less, I will settle for wearing this BEAUTIFUL Emily and Fin skirt whose colors are the perfect bridge between summer brights and fall jewel tones.

I saw the dress version of this skirt come out earlier this year, and immediately added it to my wishlist. But now that I have the skirt, I think I might like it better! Lately I’ve been eager to wear more separates and add more variety in tops and bottoms to my wardrobe. This skirt is literally perfect as it has a plethora of colors I can match up with, it fits amazingly, and it has POCKETS.

Every woman knows how we all feel about good pockets!

I can see this skirt becoming a year-round staple for me. I cannot wait to pair it with various colored tops and cardigans, tights, an boots! This is my very first Emily and Fin garment, and I’m smitten. I may just have to start stocking up on their dresses now! I know they are a favorite among the retro community!

I think this skirt is especially sweet paired with this darling cropped cardigan I found while digging through the Goodwill Outlet bins! Initially I thought it was a little girl cardigan, so I threw it into my cart for my daughter. UPon bringing it home I realized it is a womens’ cropped cardigan and I was thrilled! And I immediately wanted to pair these two together for their first time being worn.
