    Things I can’t resist.

Who COULD resist twirling in this skirt? It’s so irresistibly twirly. I’m sorry I didn’t post yesterday; really, I didn’t forget you! It’s just that I slept in, and there was a bit of family drama (extended family, not immediate) that my mom was unfortunately privy to, and she had to vent to me after being vented to by various people in our extended family, and then I had to work, and while I can have my laptop at work it just feels odd and a…

    Flower Child

Today’s outfit. I’ll update with the other outfits and voting in a few hours, but I have to run! Details: Shirt, $3.99; Skirt, $2.00; Belt, $0.99; Ring, $1.50; Shoes, $10 or under; Flowers, free. Approximate outfit cost: $18.48 I feel like such a hippie. This skirt reminds me of a tablecloth in print. Thankfully, the fabric is really soft, so it doesn’t feel like a tablecloth. Also, is it just me, or does my hair look really dark in this picture?: I managed to fool a few people into thinking that this:  …was real. It’s not real. It’s a rub-on tattoo. I don’t think I’d ever get a real tattoo– one, because…

    Flowers and Stripes

This outfit makes me very happy for three reasons: 1. pattern mixing. I love me some patterns. 2. it’s very feminine. I’m kind of a girly-girl. In case you hadn’t noticed. 3. I haven’t worn this dress in a few months, and the last time I wore it, I sort of had to suck everything in to get the thing zipped up. This time? It zipped like a dream, and is even a bit loose around the waist. Squeee! Also, I got a lot of compliments today. My favorite librarian said I’m the best dresser in the harbor. They were all very surprised that I get everything off of sale…

This is probably my favorite skirt

Funny (embarrassing) thing about this outfit: I didn’t realize until I went to the bathroom at church (and had been walking around sans my coat for about ten minutes) that this shirt… uhm… it’s a little see-through, and even with my slip/top beneath it, you could see some other underthings that were definitely not part of the shirt. I was very glad that I had worn a coat today. Suffice it to say that I put it on immediately and didn’t take it off again till I got home. And THEN… when I got home, as I was writing my little blurb on Chictopia, I spilled coffee all over my shirt.…

… and it’s just really hard to reconcile the two.

Excuse me if this post seems choppy with the pictures. It’s an experiment. So we all know that I’m a writer. Right? Well… if we don’t, we do now. {Side note: I really don’t know why I’m referring to you as “we.” Or if I am, in fact, referring to the voices in my head. Which mostly think I’m very sad for having a life that mostly consists of doing things online.} And I started this blog almost two years ago {March 29th is my… its… our…?… two year anniversary. Bloggyversary. Birthday? Whatever. Too many side notes!} to chronicle the ups and downs of my writing, as well as the…
