Bang Bang
Do you ever have those days where you make a decision that you regret almost before you’ve even made it? Today is one of those days. As if I haven’t already done enough to my hair, I decided I wanted to trim my bangs up a bit, since I’ve decided to give the curling iron a rest for a few days (to let my hair get over the trauma of being dyed). But right as I began to cut I thought “do I really want to do this?” *snip* “too late…” Somehow, no matter how low I begin cutting my bangs, they end up much higher than I intended them…

The Eighties Called…
You guys (er… girls…) I have a problem. See, I bought this dress to sell. I picked it off the rack at a thrift store because it looked absolutely crazy on the hanger and I had to try it on (I do that a lot), and then discovered that the shoulder-pads, stretchy fabric, and pockets– not to mention the houndstooth pattern– were totally awesome, plus it’s vintage, and I thought maybe I could list it in my soon-to-be-opened vintage shop. But then I took it home, styled it with these tights and this belt and these shoes, and fell in love. And I never, ever thought I would admit falling…

Everyone Looks Better In…
It’s probably pretty obvious that I love these Sunglasses. I’ve worn them every chance I get; any tiny break of sunshine through these clouds, and I’m grabbing the sunnies. Love. So this is the little tiny break of trees right in our yard. We live in such a nice little out-of-the way country neighborhood. The road is relatively a quiet one, except for the dogs across the road who barked at me the entire time I was taking pictures. I know that one of them is named Daisy, and one is Nestor, and there’s a third one that the owner never yells at who must be a very well behaved…

Dress (gift): Modcloth Tights: Kohl’s Heels: Thrifted Mr Owl’s brother got married last Friday, and this dress came JUST in time to wear. My husband bought it for me (along with some awesome sunglasses) for Valentine’s day, but for some reason their sizing runs way large so we had to send away for a smaller size. I love it, though. I want to wear this dress all day every day forever. It’s twirly, it’s retro, it’s got heart pockets, and it’s just perfect.
