    25

Happy birthday, to my favorite person in the world. Thank you for taking my pictures, thinking I’m beautiful whether I’m in jeans with no makeup or a dress and all prettied up, for being as much of a Lord of the Rings nerd as I am, for being silly with me, for knowing just what to do when I cry, for playing Mario and Donkey Kong and pretending we’re five, for praying for me, for protecting me, for being honest, for being kind, and for having the perfect Mr. Rochester-(soon to be Aragorn-) esque hair. You are without a doubt the most interesting, wonderful, hilarious, and attractive man I know,…

    Mr Owl: Man of Style

I thought I would take a break from all of my own outfits to showcase Mr. Owl, who is one of those men who just… looks good in anything. To me, anyway. Maybe I’m prejudiced to think he looks just as good right off work covered in dust as he does dressed in a suit or nice jeans… or maybe I’m not. You tell me. It’s very hard to get him to let me take his picture, but on this day I coaxed him into letting me take a few shots. Maybe he’ll be more willing to be photographed if you all give him some encouragement. And who knows, if…

    Five Months.

As I mentioned yesterday, it was Mr. Owl and my 5 month anniversary. His parents apparently kept making fun of us for celebrating by saying they had been together for five hundred and something months (they’ve been married for 43 years), but I think inside they just think we’re cute. And maybe a little young… and possibly pathetically inseparable… but mostly just cute. We celebrated by going out for Mexican food. We nearly consumed all of a ginormous burrito, and did consume all of a cheese crispy (crisp tortillas topped with cheese, guacamole, onions, and tomatoes)… and afterward, we went to the store and got Reeses Peanut Butter Ice Cream Bars…

30 Days of Dresses: and I look like a pumpkin.

You can’t really tell in these pictures, but this dress has the tendency to make me look pregnant. That, and the way I stand when someone’s taking a picture of me- I try to be all cool and model-esque, but just end up slouching one shoulder weirdly, jutting my hip to one side, and forgetting to suck in my stomach. It’s not pretty. Thankfully, about halfway through the shoot, I remember that slouching is not beautiful and I should straighten up. I think my day two dress of the 30 Days of Dresses challenge is a bit boring. There are no patterns to be seen, and somehow I never quite…

    Easter

It feels like it’s been forever since I posted a blog! But in fact, it’s only been a week. I have missed you all, though, and I’ve missed all of the shenanigans that arise taking outfit pictures. This particular shoot, I decided at one point (which you’ll see) to climb and lean on an old fence… which resulted in my arms becoming so inflamed with an allergic reaction that I had red ridges everywhere I’d touched the fence. It was beautiful. Mr. Owl and I tried to do a little Easter photoshoot beneath the beautiful blooming tree in my driveway, but we’re so out of practice… plus, we only had…
