Valentine’s day outfit inspiration.

I’m still feeling pretty sick, and I have been ordered both by my mother and by Mr. Owl to rest and get well all day. Which means no getting up to put on pretty clothes and do outfit pictures. So instead, I was looking through my old outfits to find some inspiration for what to wear tomorrow… and thought I’d share the inspiration with you.

This look has no pink in it, but I think it would work well for Valentine’s day. It’s girly, there are polkadots galore, and the curly hair (which I might do) tops it off as very romantic-looking. Besides, I’ve always been rebellious and gone with non-holiday themed outfits for holidays.

Then again, it’s the first time I’ve had a man on Valentine’s day (or ever…), so I should go all-out and paint myself pink. Right?

This one doesn’t feel very Valentine-y to me, but it IS very floral. And very striped. And very pink. And ultimately girly. Which works.

Suffice it to say… I felt overtly feminine on this day– I even painted my fingernails, which only happens like twice a year!– and it would work very well for Valentine’s day. There’s pink, purple, painted nails, shiny things, fabulous shoes… it’s becoming one of my favorite old outfits.

This dress is a strong possibility for me. Pair it with red tights, some heart earrings, and keep the red lipstick… and I’m sold. I have only ever worn this dress once, which is a very sad thing to say.

And lastly, a dress I’ve never worn on the blog OR in real life, despite having owned it for at least a year. I may be selling this dress, simply because I could never style it to my liking until now, when I finally bought some red tights and also have those maroon shoes that would work marvelously well with the colors in this dress.

I just can’t quite bear to part with it. It’s so delicate and pretty.

So what do you all think? What will you be wearing for Valentine’s day? Do you like the holiday? I personally have always loved Valentine’s day even though I’ve never had someone until now (squee!) to celebrate it with. I mean, seriously… people give me chocolate galore on this day. How could I not love it?

Β I will hopefully be posting my Valentine’s day outfit tomorrow… with my Valentine, if I can convince him to do a photoshoot with me (which isn’t hard. He likes doing them), but still… I wish you all a beautiful Valentine’s day full of chocolate and loved ones.

I definitely think the last one! So feminine and pretty, though I’m sure Mr Owl would think you looked beautiful in anything πŸ™‚ but if you weren’t feeling like that one the black and white dress is lovely as well.
Hope you feel better soon xx

I LOVE the last dress, but (you probably noticed by now) I didn’t end up wearing it because it was one of those problematic dresses. So I’ll be selling it. Sigh. I love it, though.
I do feel better! Thank you. πŸ™‚

Pink it up, darling. I’ve already painted my nails alternating pink and red and intend on wearing my best brightest pink shirt for my opening shift at the bakery. Also, I have to get to work on the 20 or so valentines for my coworkers. πŸ˜›

But if you don’t pink it up, definitely the classy black and white with the clutch and red lipstick. It’s the less cheesy, over the top pick and very, very romantic. πŸ˜€

I want alternating pink and red fingernails! But I always mess up my nails like five seconds after I’ve painted them perfectly.
      Wow, 20 valentines? That’s lots. πŸ˜€ I made… one.
But then… I was sick, so that’s my excuse. πŸ˜€

I really, really, like both of the dresses. Very cute! I would go with the first dress…or the second…or wear one in the afternoon and one in the evening…or alternate hours of wearing them…Uhyeah, I just woke up πŸ˜›

Happy Valentine’s Day! I have always liked it because my parents would kiss in front of us and even though we always pretended to be grosses out, we all were happy inside ((:
Also today is my niece’s birthday, so I like Valentine’s a lot.

    Have a good one!

Hehe, that’s a good idea! I’m glad I’m not the only person who thinks it’s acceptable to wear several outfits in one day. πŸ˜€ Hehe.

Yes! I have always loved seeing my parents express their love. It’s cute. And being a girl, I always thought it was romantic. πŸ˜€ Happy (very very late) Valentine’s day!

Hiii!!! I’m -again- late on commenting, I apologize. Probably, you’re not sick by now so there’s no need in me wishing get well soon πŸ˜› Anyway, all these outfits are pretty (and) girly! But my number one favorite is the second to last one. Too bad you’ve worn this gorgeous black and white dress only once, it looks stunning on you! And the last dress is so cute! I don’t think that you should give it away, it’s too gorgeous to part with it πŸ™‚
I’m not really into Valentine’s day, I’ve always believed it was just a commercial celebration, but then again I’ve never had somebody to celebrate it with and I’m pretty sure it is different, so I can’t judge πŸ™‚ πŸ˜€

I’m still a little bit sick, but I am feeling much better! πŸ˜€
I am going to try to make a point and wear the black and white one more often, because I really do love it!
And Valentine’s day… I think it’s fun. It’s never been something I’ve made a huge deal out of, but my cousins and I always had tea parties and really it was just an occasion to get dressed up and be girly and have chocolate. πŸ˜€ And now that I have Mr. Owl… it’s pretty much the same. Only I’m celebrating it with a boy who likes me and not all my girly cousins. πŸ˜€
