The little things
I’m not sure how I feel about these pants. I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of red straight leg or skinny jeans for a while, and while these still aren’t quite up to my expectations, I think I like them. Other than the fact that they’re skinny pants and they pretty much just go “BOOM I have hips.” Which I’m not sure is altogether flattering. And you can also plainly see the pockets through the fabric, which is annoying. Out of 50+ pictures, these were the only two that I remotely like. Because of the pants. So we shall see if I regret buying them (at least they were thrifted!)…

Confessions
One of the things that I always find myself doing when I get dressed is thinking about how to avoid looking “American”… and whether or not my outfit looks British. You see… I sort of might just want to fool people into thinking I am British. Let’s face it. Americans don’t really have a very good reputation. That, and American style is so… not me. It’s all angles and minimalism and cowboy and new and preppy. And I’m not any of those things. British style, on the other hand– at least, the British style I want to emulate– is delicate florals and old lace and cardigans and scarves and lockets… and…

Washerwoman

And I mean, I do need to do my laundry, but thank goodness I don’t have to scrub it on a washboard in a cold stream, like this scarf makes me feel I should. I’d be a very lazy washerwoman. I mean, I was too lazy to take more than ten full-body pictures today (which seems like a lot, to me, until I read of bloggers who take 100 a day to get their pictures just right), so instead you get one…
