    Tropicana

This dress reminds me of Hawaii. It’s so tropical and twirly and beautiful, and I told my husband as soon as I put it on that it was on my list of clothes to take when we go back to the Hawaiian islands. Which, hopefully, will be somewhere around this time next year! We’re just going to save up slowly, and have determined to put a bit of money every week into a vacation jar. Plus, I think I will use any money from my store for vacation as well, to help save up faster! The only thing I don’t like as much about this dress… well, two things: one,…

Pink Blush Maternity review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

Today, I am typing on five hours of sleep and not enough coffee, so forgive me if I get to rambling! I am pretty sure it’s going to be one of those days where I find myself doing lots of amusing things, like putting the juice away in the dish cupboard, or typing out whatever I’m listening to instead of the rest of my sentence. But, when you’re pregnant and you wake up having to pee right at the time your husband usually gets up, it’s really hard to go back to sleep. Especially when you hear the coffee pot going. The Bee’s Knees

This dress is one of those dresses that I really, really love, but rarely wear. It’s just slightly too long for my taste (I prefer knee length), and the sleeves are kind of huge, but I love the color, the pattern, and the vintage 70’s/80’s ness of it. And for some reason, I think it works better on me while I’m pregnant. I feel like I’ve definitely grown more confident with style being pregnant, which was totally unexpected! I’m more bold in my choices, and I feel more like I have found a style that I belong in. I hope that doesn’t end once I have the baby. Tonight, the…

    Black Roses

This dress totally does not show up as green as it is! I absolutely love the color in real life; it’s an emerald-turquoise color that just reminds me of spring and fresh greenery. But my camera’s settings won’t pick up the color for some reason. I cleaned out my entire wardrobe (dresser items included) yesterday after re-reading October Rebel’s awesome post about cultivating a successful wardrobe, and I realized something: out of the 55 dresses I own (not counting the ones I took out for the “wear a few ways and see if I want to keep them” pile), I only regularly wear about five of them. I think it’s…

    Modern Maid Marian

Details: Dress ($6.98), Bracelet ($7), Target; Shoes($10), Walmart; Earrings($4), Icing; Belt($1.99), thrifted; Approximate outfit cost: $29.97 Quite a few friends have told me that I look like Maid Marian from the BBC Robin Hood, and today I feel a bit like a modern Marian. I think it’s the green hue, the sandals, the braids in my hair… it all just feels a bit like something a modern Marian might wear.     So one of my blog readers showed me THIS blog, and told me I have to try it. Of course, I did. But it doesn’t work so well with my camera. See… I’m not patient enough to jump a million…
