One Shirt Three Ways | Wire and Honey

Happy Monday! Today I am really excited to share a new adventure for Eccentric Owl: being a permanent guest blogger over at Wire and Honey! A little while ago, Sarah posted in a clothing group I belong to on Facebook asking if there were any bloggers out there who would like to contribute to the blog section of her online shop. She wanted to up her game in the blogging area, and thought that having a few guest bloggers would really add some fun to what she already has going. And, since I’m always looking for new opportunities and challenges, I immediately jumped for it. I was so excited when…

    The Impossible Astronaut

Today’s character-inspired outfit isn’t as perfect as yesterday’s, but I still like it. And hey, it’s the best I could do considering this is the only plaid shirt I own, it’s raining, and I have a photoshoot to do today. In the rain. And I still really like this outfit, which is surprising considering I’m wearing jeans. And I’m not a fan of jeans on me. So weird story: a few months ago I got this email from some guy asking if I would wear a plaid shirt for him, because apparently he has a collection on Flickr of photos of women wearing plaid shirts for him. I didn’t reply,…

    Couple Style: St. Patrick’s Day

I can’t type much today; I’ve got a sleeping baby in my arms. Which is not a bad reason. These were our St. Patrick’s day outfits for the brief time I was out of the house; we went to my parents’ for dinner, and snapped pictures next to the beautiful flowering tree in their yard. My husband is fresh from work. He called this his “lazy style” because he neglected to zip his boots and has disheveled hair. We tested taking jumping pictures, as you can see. My husband says, and I quote, “You look like a… farting fairy.” You can see how my confidence is continually boosted by this…

New year, new adventures… and also, pants.

So, it’s 2012. And I am wearing pants. Yep. It’s going to be a wild year. 😉 But really, pants are just more practical for the adventures I’m going to have today (exploring old graveyards and parks), and I did want to post something different from the normal for my first post of the new year.  Did you all have a good New Years Eve? I did. Well, I’ll be honest: it was a little bit emotional (I was very tired), but it was probably the best New Years Eve I’ve had in a while. My family stayed home and played games, and it was relaxing and just… nice. Did…

    The Lumberjack and the Lady

Well, hello there. I’m not sure if I’m officially “back” yet, since it’s not 2012 and life continues to be unexpected, but I’ll be trying to blog whenever I have a minute (like today) because I realized yesterday that I miss blogging a lot. Except for the part where I have to take pictures in the rain. That, I could do without.  So my news might be a little anticlimactic for some of you, but two things: one, I got a tripod. Which means that I will now be able to take pictures in more places because I don’t have to search for a post or a garbage can or…
