A Casual Day || Styling Jeans

If you have followed my blog for any length of time, you’ll probably know that I wear jeans on a very, very rare basis. I can think of perhaps five posts total in the last nine years that have featured me in pants of some kind, and two of those were when I was pregnant. Like any mom, I often wear leggings (let’s be honest, I wear them on a daily basis) because they’re comfortable and easy to move in. But, not being a jeans girl, I never thought I’d ever choose jeggings… and love them. Enter Pink Blush.

Pink Blush sent me an item of my choice for review. All opinions are honest and my own!

As a gal with sizeable thighs (and hips, and booty) and a relatively small waist in comparison, finding jeans when I’m not pregnant is a chore. If they fit my thighs and butt, they don’t fit my waist. At all. Not even close. There is generally a 15″ difference between the two, and has been up to a 20″ difference. And then, pregnancy happens and finding comfortable, well-fitting, and cute jeans that don’t constantly slide down due to a wonky upper panel is almost impossible.

But I decided to give Pink Blush’s plus size maternity jeggings a try, and I am so glad I did. They have the comfort of leggings and the support of jeans all in one, and the dark wash is exactly what I want in a jean! No fading on the thighs (makes mine look bigger, no thank you!), no rips (as  girl who lived on a farm and often ripped her own jeans… I just can’t fathom paying for that), no funny pocket designs. Simple, dark wash, comfortable, and one of the few pairs of pants I’ve ever had that I feel comfortable wearing in public!  As you have now seen quite a few times here, I am constantly impressed by Pink Blush’s fantastic maternity clothes. From their beautiful maxi dresses to the prettiest wiggle dresses to the cutest tops and now, who’d ever have thought, jeggings that I love. Now just need to stock up on a few tops to go with these, and I may just live in them for the rest of my pregnancy! And, if we’re honest, probably beyond that too. Maternity pants are THE BEST pants.

Fun fact about today: I really wanted to shoot this outfit ever since someone asked how I’d style jeans as a retro loving girl, but… I left the tripod in our car, which my husband took to work. These photos were taken by propping the camera on a garbage can and some  books, and it really reminds me of the old days when I literally would put my camera in a tree because I didn’t have a tripod!

You gotta do what you gotta do, right?
