    New favorite florals

May I introduce to you… my new favorite dress. Oh. My. Goodness. I love this dress. I want to wear it all the time, everywhere. It’s the perfect floral print, the perfect beautiful colors, the perfect length, the perfect twirliness, and it has pockets! I mean, what more could a girl want? I had a bit of luck at the thrift store this week, and scored three gorgeous vintage 1970’s dresses (one of which you’ll see later this week!) that I can’t wait to over-wear come warmer weather! And by “warmer”, I mean warm enough not to have to still wear a coat in the morning.  I am so in love.…

    Flowers in the Forest

This post could more correctly be titled “The thrift junkie and her wardrobe.” I didn’t realize until I went down to name where everything came from that everything I’m wearing (except for the wedding ring, obviously) is thrifted. And who would have guessed? I mean, the only tell is the fact that there are two missing buttons on the dress I haven’t replaced yet. Shh. Don’t tell. I’m really terrible about replacing buttons when I have safety pins. I also don’t hem or iron. Worst. Housewife. Ever. I didn’t realize how much of a staple this jean jacked would be when I got it. I didn’t consider myself a jean-jacket…

It’s making me long for summer already, though. Is that bad? I got this jean jacket the other day after seeing a few different lovely bloggers sporting jean jackets, and I’m so glad I did! I don’t even know how to describe what my spring style is going towards– floral, maybe more modern, with lots of tied-up shirts and high-waisted skirts. It’s definitely changing, but…

    Summer’s End

You guys, it is officially fall now! Can you believe it? And despite the fact that I have been itching for fall to finally be here, somehow I dressed like spring. Go figure. But now I can wear sweaters, and tights, and colorful pants (I bought purple skinny jeans and red skinny jeans at Target yesterday; they have SO many on sale in a plethora of colors!) and scarves without anyone complaining that it’s still summer and I should not be wearing those things. And today, to celebrate fall… I am sick. I can’t say I’m complaining though, because I’m weird and sometimes I like a good sick day to…

Narcissism. Aka, outfits according to Facebook and my phone.

I haven’t been able to get outfit pictures lately, but here are a few via Facebook. If you don’t already follow me on Facebook and you’re aching for more content… hop over and like me! I usually update with terrible quality phone or webcam pictures, but hey! It’s better than nothing. And if you are missing the “Friday Links” feature, you’ll also find that I share links throughout the week on Facebook, such as the actually-from-1940 makeup tutorial, or the incredibly tempting new food blog I found via Picco, and, of course, lots of owl-themed links. And you’ll also find albums I’m trying to update, like my closet archive.…
