The twilight hour
Yesterday my husband and I had an impromptu date to see Godzilla. I hadn’t gotten dressed or done my makeup and hair all day, so once he got home I rushed to get ready in about… fifteen minutes. This is my three minute hair and seven minute makeup and five minutes to get dressed look. Love and Fall Leaves
On Sunday, my husband and I went in search of some good fall trees to shoot photos, and we found the perfect location in the parking lot of a school close to where I grew up. They have the most gorgeous red and yellow trees right now! Oh my goodness, I could have died. And in a moment of rarity, I let my husband do the picture-taking. 1960’s Houndstooth
I could have titled this post “how to create a retro outfit from modern garments”, because despite my love of vintage, nothing in this outfit is older than 3 years. I actually just bought this dress last week, and after having searched for a white lace dress for at least a year, it was a great triumph to find one under $25! Of course, it’s really dangerous for me to own white garments, because not even three hours later, while wearing it, I dropped a piece of sweet-and-sour chicken (yeah, I do occasionally stray from paleo!) on it. The perfect fall coat
It’s FALL! And boy, did fall come in with a bluster; in a typical cold-weather Washington day, it rained all day yesterday. Which was fine, because we had our Hobbit party indoors, but then our power went out right before the party. Which meant no biscuits or warmed up seed cake. Oh well! Thankfully, we had cooked everything else beforehand, and it was all still warm.
