    Foiled again.

I really wanted to do a fun, weird, random photoshoot today involving a dark red sheet as the backdrop, a full-face mask, and a 1950’s style dress, but then I realized that my camera’s batteries  need to be recharged. That, and I really don’t feel like doing my hair and makeup. It’s my day off. I get lazy. So instead, you can have a gander at my outfit from yesterday. I took these right after I got off work– and no, I did not wear these boots to work… although I would have liked to. Because they are rather amazing. I’ve worn them three or four times since I bought…

    Opposites Attract

I realize I do this pose a lot. So sue me, I like it. I didn’t think I was going to have time to blog today, so I snapped some fast pictures and then my boss called me to tell me that I didn’t have to leave for another two hours. So here we go! I’m taking the chance to blog my outfit. Which I love. I have a shirt that is almost the same color as this one, but this is more… green. And the other one’s a bit more on the yellow side. The Blue Giraffe

Today was one of those days where I decided to change five minutes before I left for church– I have a dress that I love, but which I find hard to style. Mainly because none of my shoes really go with it, and it irks me. I had planned to wear that dress today– and I had it on and was all ready to go– but then last-minute decided that I needed to wear these shoes again, and I wanted to be incredibly colorful. Thus… the giraffe skirt and my new favorite shirt. I didn’t take very many pictures of this outfit (I took a ton of the other one),…

    This is my workout face.

I have always been quite self-conscious about my butt and thighs, so it is a big deal when I say that I really like this outfit. I’ve never liked myself in shorts or jeans, because it highlights my butt and my thighs, whereas skirts tend to camouflage what I consider to be my problem areas. I credit the cardigan for part of the camouflaging done here, though, since it’s designed to fall gracefully in the front and creates a straighter, more flattering line visually. But exciting news! My family (aka mom, dad, and I) signed up for a membership to the YMCA today. This means I may become the woman with the magical shrinking…

    When life is interrupted.

You have probably noticed by now that when I plan things, they usually don’t happen quite on schedule. Like the writing challenge blog that is supposed to be updated every Monday… but I have yet to update once. Or the camping trip recap that never really happened. Or today’s tutorial that isn’t actually here. Yet. I tend to do all of my blogging in the morning hours, and I didn’t think about the fact that I have to leave for work in… 57 minutes… which isn’t enough time to get a tutorial done. (Or… well, it’s not really a tutorial, more of an ideas post, with a few little how-tos…
