    Seeing dots

It’s funny how seeing pictures on a larger screen can totally change the way you think of them. When I took these, just peeking at the little screen of my camera, I didn’t like them at all. It’s always hard to photograph white, and I kept making the weirdest faces… and falling over because these heels are shaky. But then I got them into editing and I started to love the way they looked. The white might be a little overblown, but the whole look is so crisp and springy! And I still love my glasses, which is a big plus! Do you ever have issues with pictures initially and…

    Polkadots and Sunshine

You guys, I am a total style thief. I saw Signe Roo’s post wearing this outfit yesterday, and I immediately went home ( well, as soon as I got off work) and changed into as similar an outfit as I could, because I LOVE it. It’s the perfect mix of summer and retro qualities. I couldn’t resist replicating her style. Of course, I don’t have those fabulous sunglasses or any adorable  booties (not to mention her amazing hair) but for what was just hanging in my closet,  it’s not bad. Right? I’m totally digging the tied-up shirt thing right now. I can’t wait for spring and summer to come and stay…

    The Eighties Called…

You guys (er… girls…) I have a problem. See, I bought this dress to sell. I picked it off the rack at a thrift store because it looked absolutely crazy on the hanger and I had to try it on (I do that a lot), and then discovered that the shoulder-pads, stretchy fabric, and pockets– not to mention the houndstooth pattern– were totally awesome, plus it’s vintage, and I thought maybe I could list it in my soon-to-be-opened vintage shop. But then I took it home, styled it with these tights and this belt and these shoes, and fell in love. And I never, ever thought I would admit falling…

    Spring Brights

I was doing my makeup when my husband got dressed this morning, and although I knew he was wearing yellow pants and a blue coat, it didn’t really dawn on me that we would match when I got dressed. I only wore this dress because I was trying out some new bright eyeshadow, and the bright dress seemed fitting. But I think that’s how it is, living with someone. Before Mr. Owl, my mom and I would almost always come out of our rooms dressed in the same colors, and it seemed often when my out-of-state friends would come to stay for a week, we’d always end up matching. I…

    Fancy

Dress (gift): Modcloth Tights: Kohl’s Heels: Thrifted Mr Owl’s brother got married last Friday, and this dress came JUST in time to wear. My husband bought it for me (along with some awesome sunglasses) for Valentine’s day, but for some reason their sizing runs way large so we had to send away for a smaller size. I love it, though. I want to wear this dress all day every day forever. It’s twirly, it’s retro, it’s got heart pockets, and it’s just perfect. Also, my husband is dashing and I love him. *swoon* Happy Wednesday!   follow me on: bloglovin | chictopia | facebook | twitter | pinterest | Instagram/Ink361
