    The Girl with Glasses

I have had glasses since I was about eleven or twelve. I don’t remember the exact age, but I do remember the first night I went to our small town church’s youth group after picking up my new pair of spectacles, feeling nervous about the change, wondering if I would get dubbed the nerd or if anyone would even care. After being there for five minutes, the boy I had a crush on said he really liked my  new glasses, and it was set. I was pleased to be the girl with glasses. Of course, as I got older and we didn’t have the money to update my frames, I…

    Sweetness

I couldn’t vlog today; I was too busy cooing over this cute little munchkin! It was my first newborn photography session, and while we weren’t able to get some shots because she was a little grouchy, I’m SO happy with how they turned out! If you want, head over to my photography page and give it a like! Happy Saturday! bloglovin | chictopia | facebook | twitter | pinterest | Instagram | Fiction Press

    Polkadots and Pregnancy

So lately, people have been asking if I’m having the baby soon (as in, they think I’m almost due), and when I tell them I still have three months, everyone tries to backtrack really hard. It’s incredibly sweet of them to really not want to offend this pregnant woman by thinking I look… well… really pregnant, but here’s the thing: dude, I’m pregnant. I carry the kid ALL in the belly, so I know it sticks out. And you know what? That’s totally and completely okay. In fact, I love it. I love looking really pregnant. First of all, I know I don’t look fat, so let’s not even worry…

    Polkadots and Confessions

I have a confession to make: I have been hiding something from you guys for a few months now. I really didn’t know how to break the news on the blog, and have just been waiting for the right moment to do so. I thought I would be able to keep it to myself for a while longer, but I can no longer do so. It’s just getting too big to hide. Mr. Owl and I are going through some life changes right now. Very important and serious ones, and I thought is as good a day as any to tell you all what’s going on. These next few months…
