    Winter Brights

In favor of posting a daily dress to the best of my ability, l am putting weekend links on hold (and also I have very few links to share, so… there’s that) but I would like to share this one, which is very important: if you can, I would highly encourage you to check out/pray for/donate to this fund. A longtime family friend of ours’ daughter has had a brain tumor for years that they had previously been told was inoperable, but a few weeks ago a neurosurgeon called to tell them that he believes he can safely remove her tumor before any more damage is done. This tumor has caused…

    The Second Best Thing

Since we’re starting our anniversary celebration today, I sent my husband a text asking what his favorite thing was for me to wear, since I feel most attractive when I know he thinks I look good. He texted back two answers. This dress was his second one. His first answer was uh… not appropriate for public. We’ll leave it at that. Haha! The Everyday Mom

Please vote for me in the Firmoo Blogger Awards contest! All you have to do is click the “vote” button once a day from now till the 14th, and you’re done! No sign-up, no required email address, nothin’! Just a click and done and I will love you forever! Today’s outfit is basically the equivalent of a tee shirt, sweatpants, and a sweater.  Don’t let the looks fool you guys, I could sleep in this. Fleece-lined leggings, a jacket made out of sweater material (the buttons make it look much more structured than it is) and a stretchy dress is the epitome of easiness, but thankfully it looks pretty because…

    Pacific Northwesterners

Today, I quit my job. I know that sounds crazy after I’ve admitted we’re pretty broke, but… we’ll live. We’ve been scraping by for two months on just my husband’s paycheck, so I know we can make it, even if it is tough. There are moms out there who work part time or full time, and I don’t know how they do it. It might sound really weak to admit that even working 4 hours a day wore me out, stressed me out, made me emotional and more prone to impatience with Asa… I just can’t be that woman. I can’t be a superwoman who has a steady job and…

    Twanoh State Park

I apologize ahead of time because this is going to be a REALLY photo-heavy post. We took these pictures right before I re-dyed my hair, and I was too impatient (as always) to share them before I shared my new haircolor. I had nearly forgotten about them! But I was sick yesterday, and I’m lazy today, so here we are, finally. I’ll try to keep it down with the pictures, but… a few weeks ago, we had this fall adventure in a gorgeous park, and I love so many of the pictures… so it’ll be hard. Twanoh State Park is really close to where we’re currently living, and we’ve driven…
