    Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Retro

My husband bought me this dress last year for Valentine’s Day, and I was so thrilled with it… but disappointed because this particular dress runs larger, and the medium didn’t fit me, which meant we had to return it and wait for the smaller size. So I didn’t get to wear it for Valentine’s day. And since then, I was only able to wear it twice before I got pregnant. So I am really excited that it fits again, and it might be the winner for what I’m actually going to wear out on our dinner date tomorrow! I mean… it’s just such a perfect dress! Twirly, gingham, heart pockets,…

    Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Bombshell

This look is one of the two I’m considering for Valentine’s Day– the husband and I are going to go out for dinner (without Baby Owl, oh my!) and I’m torn between this dress, which is just total modern bombshell, or the dress Mr. Owl gave me for Valentine’s Day last year that I didn’t get to wear for Valentine’s Day because apparently it ran big and a medium was way too big on me. You’ll see it next. But I couldn’t do a series of Valentine’s Day looks without going full-on red, hearts, and romance. It’s just impossible for me to skip a completely romantic look. I will probably…

    Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Casual

Today’s post is going to be short; my usually complacent baby has been going through some sleeping and eating changes — he eats more and sleeps less — so I’ve had very little time to do much but feed, hold, and change him… and sleep when he’s sleeping. Plus,…

Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Glasses and Trends

This post is sponsored by GlassesUSA.com, and just in time for a great way to style your glasses for Valentine’s day! You should definitely check out their site, especially if you’re looking for to order glasses. They have an awesome selection. I especially love these frames.  I have had glasses since I was about eleven years old. When I got them, I was initially excited; they were round, with thin metal frames that had a multitude of colors in them, and the pastor’s son, who I had a crush on at the time, thought they were cool. So naturally, I loved my glasses. But as I got older and we…

    Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Vintage

This is the first photoshoot I have ever done by myself in a semi-public place. It was on a country road (I live in the country… ish…) in front of the doors of a community building, so people were driving by every once in a while (staring), and I drove by three times before I convinced myself I was brave enough to stop and take pictures there. But I did. I set up the camera, got the focus in place, and started snapping. Quite a few people slowed down as they drove by, and one lady, who lived on the driveway near this building, stared at me the entire time…
