I have sort of lost where I was in the 30×30, but I think this was day 19. There have been several “break” days in the last week or so, and I really have no idea which day is next. Oh, well. On Friday, Mr. Owl and I went to a Vicci Martinez concert. I actually had no idea who she was, but apparently she came in third on the show The Voice, and I was very impressed by her talent. Seriously, if she came in third, I want to know who won first. She’s quite good! But we weren’t really there to see her– we were there for the opening band, Perry Acker, who grew up across the street from Mr. Owl, and one of whom is Mr. Owl’s (other) best friend. 30×30 Day Six: You animal!
This is a skirt that I’ve had for a few years, and the last time I wore it I wore basically the same outfit as I’m wearing now. (See?) I decided to add it to my 30×30 because I want to try to style it more, and I’m trying to decide if I actually want to keep it or get rid of it. I like animal print, and I’m not afraid of the body-conscious silhouette, but the rise is kind of awkward (it cuts right below my belly button, which is a weird place for a skirt), and I’ve never felt very inspired to style it. This is what happens when Mr. Owl doesn’t have his camera and I happen to actually have a few minutes to take my own outfit pictures with my mom’s camera. I saw that Jess and Salazar are doing the 30×30, which I had completely forgotten about, and on impulse (which was probably a bad idea, knowing how I’m terrible at doing anything for 30 days straight) I decided to join in. On the day that it started.
