I have a confession to make: I have been hiding something from you guys for a few months now. I really didn’t know how to break the news on the blog, and have just been waiting for the right moment to do so. Heat Waves
Yesterday was the most beautifully hot day ever. After work, I immediately changed into this because my work outfit just wasn’t cutting it for the heat. Those of you that have followed my blog forever will know that this skirt used to be a pair of shorts. Hideous ones. But, obviously, it was nothing a pair of scissors and a little stint at the sewing machine couldn’t change! Spring Brights
I was doing my makeup when my husband got dressed this morning, and although I knew he was wearing yellow pants and a blue coat, it didn’t really dawn on me that we would match when I got dressed. I only wore this dress because I was trying out some new bright eyeshadow, and the bright dress seemed fitting. But I think that’s how it is, living with someone. Before Mr. Owl, my mom and I would almost always come out of our rooms dressed in the same colors, and it seemed often when my out-of-state friends would come to stay for a week, we’d always end up matching. I’ve been doing this for longer than I thought.
I was making a Facebook album of my scarf-a-day pictures, and I realized that I’ve been doing this for three days longer than I thought I had. Here I was thinking yesterday’s outfit was day ten and all the while… it’s thirteen. But two of those don’t really count because I wore two scarves twice without noticing it. Not that that’s a bad thing. It just means I have more scarves to conquer. I have to say, this may be one of my favorite outfits of the scarf challenge so far. Today was one of those days where I decided to change five minutes before I left for church– I have a dress that I love, but which I find hard to style. Mainly because none of my shoes really go with it, and it irks me. I had planned to wear that dress today– and I had it on and was all ready to go– but then last-minute decided that I needed to wear these shoes again, and I wanted to be incredibly colorful.
