Since I’ve been on a sort of roll with my Doctor Who Inspired outfits, I have been really wanting to do some Fairytale inspired outfits, too, and this marks my first one. The Impossible Girl
So one of my friends posted a link to this awesome cosplayer on Facebook this morning, and after seeing one of the cosplayer’s Clara Oswald cosplays, I decided… today, I had to be Clara. It’s based on this outfit, from the Christmas Special, and while it’s not perfect… I’m actually pretty happy with it. I made do with what I had, and I like how it turned out! Magic Hour
Do you ever have one of those days where everything goes fantastic until the very end? And somehow, even though it’s been a great day, you have a breakdown over something somewhat miniscule? Yesterday was one of those days. My husband and I took a day trip to Port Townsend, and the whole day was really great right up until we got home with an exhausted baby who had decided he didn’t really want to eat normally OR sleep much all day. Summer afternoon
I think this weekend is bringing on the (temporary) end of the beautiful weather we’ve had; it’s been cloudy all day today. But it might still be warm. Even with the clouds, yesterday was really, really nice. I make my family eat outside because it was way too nice to be indoors. Plus, I love a good outdoor table setting! I foresee a lot of outdoor eating this summer. My parents have a gorgeous yard with a bunch of fruit and nut trees for cover, and the ground is relatively flat. Full Retro
Some days, a girl just has to go full retro. This skirt was in my pile of vintage to sell, but um… it might not be going back in. I originally wore it today just to grab an outfit shot for the shop (feedback from you guys officially says mostly garment-alone pictures, but with one outfit shot to see how it looks on a person), but then, you know… I have a huge weakness for plaid.
